Isha Pokhrel
PhD in Microbiology (NDSU)
Hi, I’m Isha from Nepal. I have an academic background in Agricultural Sciences, with a master’s degree in Mycology and Plant Pathology from Banaras Hindu University, India. My previous research focused on unraveling plant-pathogen interactions at the molecular level and exploring microbial antagonists for disease management. This exploration deepened my fascination with the microbial world and its vast potential beyond plant systems. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Microbiological Sciences at NDSU. In Dr. Banerjee’s lab, my research focuses on understanding microbe-microbe interaction in the context of pancreatic cancer and their potential role in disease progression and therapeutic applications. I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen and cherishing quality moments with my family in my free time.
