B.S in Microbiology – Bio-Technology (NDSU)

Hello, my name is Avery. I’m from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and I’m pursuing a B.S. in Microbiology and Biotechnology with minors in Statistics and Chemistry at NDSU. I originally considered biomedical engineering, but after taking microbiology courses, I became fascinated by the microbial world, particularly how microbial communities influence environments and how we can manipulate the microbiome. My project explores the role of keystone taxa in synthetic microbial communities (SynCom).
